How we collect, use and protect your personal information

1. Introduction

RemoteworkWeb ("we", "us" or "our") operates this website and is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the recruitment support services we provide through it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us — your name, phone or messaging number, email address, age, gender, and any details you include in an application or in a conversation with our recruiters.
  • Information collected automatically — IP address, the approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site and timestamps.
  • Information from third parties — advertising platforms that report which campaign or keyword sent you here, and hiring partners that respond to an application you submitted.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To match you with remote roles that fit the availability and location you tell us about.
  • To pass your contact details to the hiring partner responsible for a role you applied to.
  • To answer questions, provide support and keep a record of our communications.
  • To measure which of our advertising campaigns work and to improve the site.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unlawful use of the service.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent, for non-essential cookies and marketing measurement; the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one, when we process an application; our legitimate interests in operating and promoting a recruitment service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and compliance with a legal obligation.

5. How We Share Your Information

We are a recruitment intermediary rather than an employer, so sharing is central to the service:

  • Hiring partners and employers — when you apply for a role we share the contact details and application information needed to reach you. Once shared, the recipient handles your data under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers — hosting, analytics, advertising and communication providers that process data on our instructions.
  • Advertising platforms — aggregated conversion events that tell an ad network a click led to an application. These events do not carry your name.
  • Legal and safety recipients — where disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect our rights, our users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies and Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics and, where it is configured, Google Ads conversion tracking. These place cookies or similar identifiers that record page views, session duration and whether a visit led to an application. The data is used in aggregate to understand which content and campaigns work.

You can refuse non-essential cookies through your browser settings, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings. Blocking them does not stop you from using the site.

7. Data Retention

Application data is kept for as long as needed to process the application and to exercise or defend legal claims, and is deleted or anonymized once it is no longer required. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for up to 26 months.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to, or restrict, certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place.

To exercise any of these rights, email hr@RemoteworkWebde.work. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

9. International Data Transfers

Our hiring partners and service providers may be located outside your country, including in Asia and Europe. When personal information crosses borders we rely on the safeguards permitted by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

10. Data Security

We use transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls and least-privilege access to the systems that hold personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The service is intended for people who are at least 18 years old and who are legally able to work in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

Applying for a role may take you to a website or messaging app operated by a third party. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those services, and we encourage you to read their policies before providing information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date below the title shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be announced on this page.

14. Contact Us

Questions about this policy can be sent to hr@RemoteworkWebde.work, or reach us by phone on +49 30 69511212.

Our terms of use, which govern the rest of your use of this website, are published alongside this policy.
